The Commando Hybrid Hoodie was designed to be an extremely versatile synthetic base layer with up-armoured protection from unforgiving terrain and unpredictable weather. Built from a high performance polyester that wicks sweat, dries fast, provides UPF protection and anti-odour properties that don't wash out. An ultra lightweight, 2-layer waterproof-breathable fabric provides up-armoured abrasion and weather protection in key areas. This is not your average base layer - put on your armour, and conquer the elements.

  1. We will always work hard to get your order out the door in 1-2 business days, if you order on a Friday afternoon your order will not be dispatched until Monday.

Pretty good.

I like this top, I’ve worn around town, at work, walking up hills and just around the house. It seems to be pretty good at regulating your temperature and is nice to wear when it’s hot or cold.
There are some things about it that make it not so great though. It’s is too short to be a base layer as you can’t tuck it into your strides. That face mask in the hood is a gimmick and just a pain the the arse. It would also really benefit from some thumb loops.

Great mountaineering piece

Just used the hybrid hoody for 6 days mountaineering in the south island, wore it every day as both a next to skin baselayer or as a windproof over a thermal. Excellent piece the weatherproof panels negate the need to don more layers during showers or cold wind.
The balance between breathability and protection is perfect- any less protection and it becomes another baselayer any more and it becomes another soft shell but this hybrid really hits a sweet spot. Looks good too
Being a mountaineer and a hunter I'd love to see a model in the future where the panels are orange blaze colour.
