The programs are both fun and challenging to do, makes me wanna push and improve myself so much through all three phases.
Really enjoying the raid series so far, it’s an awesome challenge and I’m see small bits of progress each week, highly recommend, great value for money.
Looks to build on itself really well over the 26 weeks, and an increase of varying skills and movements. Worth every cent
The program has been great. Getting after the raid ready program has been awesome.
I started the first Raid program 8 weeks ago. I’ve previously worked on developing my strength independently, to achieve a 120kg squat (which was a very shallow depth), a 150kg deadlift and 100kg bench (which I ruined my rotator cuff doing). This was in 2015.
I have made numerous attempts to attain these numbers over the years however every time I have tried I’ve felt my body has taken a big hit and felt on the verge of breaking.
In October of ‘22 my back went on an extremely light deadlift and I knew I needed to sort myself out.
I work in an armed capacity within law enforcement in the UK and being strong, fit and physically imposing at 5’5” and 70kg is really important both in a physical aspect carrying the heavy kit we wear and patrol using, when dealing with people but also in a way to stay mentally ready to deal with what is in front of me.
As of writing I’ve just achieved 2 sets of 120kg for 2 reps with good depth (below parallel), I’m looking to hit the same on Bench and Deadlift over the coming days with my top weight reps from all that time ago.
More importantly I do not feel like my body is on the verge of breaking. I feel fresh most days beyond a few DOM’s sensations over the weeks.
The program design and periodisation to this point has been super impressive. Pushing me within the sessions but a steady overload and enough time to recover, and I’ve been able to work it around shift work too!
Super happy, feeling strong as hell and able to push on into the second phase! Great work, cheers!
