Went for blue as after a convo with a rescue helo pilot, he pointed out this colour is best to see from up high. The usual yellow can get lost in nature, especially when gorse is in full bloom. The week after it arrived, torrential spring rains and it has lived up to my expectations. Thank you Marty B
awesome light weight jacket waterproof and windproof
Went to the wettest competition of my life this weekend, the commando jacket held up 100% even with nonstop heavy rain, to the point we were struggling to see the bright orange targets. A fair few people I spoke to had failing wet weather gear, even gear that apparently held up well under normal circumstances was leaking. The Commando didn't spring a single leak, whilst still being breathable and comfy. Honestly can't recommend this jacket enough, well worth the money
I received this jacket in a few days and wore it on a trip outdoors where we were on a mountainside for most of the trip and adjacent to a body of water. Day temps peaked at 50 (F) and night temps dropped to 30 (f). I was pretty active and for most of the trip but there were periods I was inactive in the cold. With a thin base layer and thin insulation layer this jacket handled all my temperature needs.
Have been looking for a camp rain/snow jacket for quite sometime now. To find one in NZ that is the quality that I was looking for was a surprise but a welcome one. Being able to support a NZ company is awesome. Incredibly breathable and without doubt very waterproof I am one happy camper.
